Trollsky Knives for a Wider Audience
Trollsky’s handmade knives are produced in limited numbers, which led to the idea of making his designs more widely available through a production line. This line follows Trollsky’s belief that most tasks can be done with small to medium-sized knives that balance portability and usability. This idea came to life with the first compact folding knife, Mandu, and its larger successor, the Mandu XL, produced by Bestech Knives, known for their high standards.
Mandu XL Folding Knife
Mandu XL is the folding version of Trollsky’s popular fixed-blade design. It features a Liner Lock mechanism and a Deep Carry clip for discreet pocket carry. The wide, leaf-shaped blade and comfortable handle make this knife perfect for everyday use. Compared to the double detent Mandu, the XL version is larger (8.46” vs. 7.08”), offering more power and strength for daily tasks like opening packages, preparing snacks, or even outdoor use.
Durable Blade, Easy to Maintain
Mandu XL’s drop-point blade is made from D2 tool steel, known for its excellent cutting performance and resistance to wear. D2 is low-maintenance and often referred to as “the least rust-prone among rust-prone steels.” The blade also features jimping for better thumb support during precise cuts.
Smooth Opening with Flipper and Secure Liner Lock
The Mandu XL opens effortlessly via a flipper mechanism, with ceramic ball bearings ensuring smooth action. The liner lock secures the blade when open, preventing accidental closure. The knife is easy to operate one-handed, placing it among modern folding knives.

The handle is made from G10 composite, a material resistant to moisture, temperature changes, solvents, and acids. It’s also highly durable. Warranty
Trollsky Knives are covered by a 24-month warranty. This warranty provides protection against material and manufacturing defects. It applies to both the knife and the sheath. If a warranted product is damaged due to a manufacturing defect, we will repair it free of charge or replace it with a new one, at our discretion. The warranty covers only original, unaltered, and unmodified components.
The warranty does not cover damages caused by improper use, improper maintenance, normal wear and tear, or natural discoloration of colors occurring during use.
Maintenance
- Remember! Every of our knives are extremely sharp, so be careful when handling them!
- Do not use your knife for something besides it’s intended purpose! Do not use the knife as a can opener, screwdriver, chisel, hammer, crowbar etc.
- After using your knife with sea water, blood, fruits or other corrosive mediums, always rinse the knife with fresh water and dry it off.
- Do not wash the knife with harder chemicals or in the dishwasher. This may damage or destroy the knife.
- Before storing your knife, apply thin film of high-quality gun oil or special knife oil or wax to knives. We recommend that you always keep your knife and sheath clean and dry when not in use.
- Always keep your knife sharp, so it can always take care of you.
