Motives:

Honeycomb: One of the favorite themes used in MK Knives & Tools products. A bee – a symbol of diligence and dedication, its creation – a honeycomb, an expression of precision and harmony. Certainly, these features are also presented by products from Marcin Kampka’s workshop.

Spade: Theme straight from the deck of cards. Ace of spades! The card that determines the winning hand has become a symbol of good luck. The sign is eagerly used by soldiers participating in armed conflicts, who, while decorating their clothes or equipment with it, hoped that it would bring them the proverbial luck and help them safely return home. Ace of spades. For some, an amulet that will help solve difficult official matters (so go ahead and meet the Tax Office with MK Coin in your pocket! ;-)), for others, inspiration, to which we can find many references in pop culture, an example of which can be even the most famous Motörhead’s song “Ace Of Spades”.

About standards and the knifemaking process at MK Knives & Tools 

Knifemaker Marcin Kampka does not recognize compromises. Each of its products is planned down to the smallest detail, each project, especially the custom one, must have individual features. Each knife must have a perfect finish, grinding, chamfering, etc. All screws – even the smallest ones – are gently chamfered to remove angular finishes. Each knife is treated as a separate whole and the holster is treated the same way. One must fit the other, the patterns on the holster must be consistent with those on the handle, etc. Mirroring every MK Knives & Tools knife we see not only the product, but we “feel” the hours spent in the studio. When we buy Marcin Kampka’s product, we buy many hours of his work. We can be sure that the knife has been polished to the smallest detail.

MK Coin

The coin is made of copper and has a vintage finish. The size ⌀ 35 mm x 4.5 mm allows you to carry it freely in your wallet.

ATTENTION: In the case of brass or copper items, patinating in the material aging process is a natural process. The traces, raids, discolorations, etc. created in this process are created randomly and independently and are not subject to complaint.

TRC Knives M-1XDP knife is a project of Andrius Tricius invented in cooperation with operators of military special forces. The M-1XDP designed in a military-tactical style, is a cousin of the Mille Cuori knife from regular TRC Knives line. The M-1XDP knife is a response to demand of operators of special forces but also available for civil users. Contrary to frequent guesses, military users mostly use their knives in tactical operations as supporting tools, which cannot fail during mission. Hence, the knives chosen by soldiers must meet certain requirements in terms of strength (construction materials) and usability (desirable characteristics). Knives of this type are used as you can imagine, for example, cutting lines, breaking windows or removing other obstacles. Knives are used during field (survival) trainings, and during daily activities while waiting for the task (e.g. for minor repairs). TRC Knives M-1XDP knife will satisfy fans of military equipment, but it will also be useful for civilians during field trips.

Its name is a reference to friendly flightless birds mainly inhabiting the cold seas of the southern hemisphere of the Earth. Indeed- the unfolded knife, when is is pointed upwards it resembles a penguin's beak and the handle the body of the bird. However, the name of the knife does not only refer to the appearance of the knife. On the contrary- it also enhances its functional features. The blade, when necessary, can be "feisty" and "of strong character" just like a penguin's beak, the handle will perfectly match the hand during work, just like the body of a small swimmer will fit into every hole. The roughness of the micarta lining, like a penguin's raised feathers, will make slipping of the knife if ones hand when in use in a humid environment.
